S.H.A.Y. argues with the E.R.I.C.
âWell then, Iâm not going to get in the water.â I bent over, grabbing my clothes. He helped me, handing me my shirt.
I snatched it from him. âIâll just wait up here for you to get back.â
He laughed, poking me in the stomach. âLook, creampuff, Iâm not going in without you.â

Oh yes you will, or Iâllââ
âYouâll what? Talk to yourself some more?â
I narrowed my eyes at him, stumbling as I tugged my pants on.
âYouâre the one who needs my help, remember?â
âYou make me sick.â My shirt slipped down over my head and I struggled with the buttons.

âDonât tell me what to do.â
Amie groaned. She stood beside me, rolling her eyes. âYouâre just creating more and more sexual tension with the E.R.I.C. Soon, youâll forget all about your Darla and Iâll have no human mother for S.H.A.Y. 319.â
âI wonât!â I unzipped my pants again. âIâll do whatever it takes to save them both.â
Eric backed away. âWhoa, there, I was just teasing you.â
 âIâm not talking to you.â

âIâm not doing this for you, youâre the enemy. Iâm trying to save my, myââ
âYouâre trying to save your âwhatâ exactly?â
âIt doesnât concern you. Just follow me into the water. That way, we can get started.â
âAre you hitting on me?â His eyes widened. âI enjoy a little banter and all, butââ
I shoved him. âLike Iâd ever flirt with you.â
